Charcoal Making Machine Description

Carbon making machine is a kind of equipment that can make charcoal from waste wood, coconut shells and straw, and solve the problem of what equipment to use to make charcoal for customers.

The new environmentally friendly carbon making machine uses carbonized flue gas to purify and convert it into combustible gas produced by its own combustion, which is recycled and can be produced continuously for 24 hours. It has the advantages of zero pollution, zero emission, labor saving, high output, energy saving and consumption reduction, high degree of automation and advanced technology.

Charcoal Making Machine Raw materials

Carbon making machine is used for carbonization of various powdery granular biomass in forestry and agriculture. Such as sawdust, wood chips, bagasse, coffee grounds, bamboo, coconut shell, cherry shell, date shell, walnut shell, apricot shell, peanut shell, rice husk, cotton stalk, straw, etc.

Carbon making machine can make carbon from these raw materials, and the finished products are mainly charcoal and wood vinegar. Charcoal can be used in industry and agriculture, and wood vinegar can be used in agriculture.

 

Working principle of carbon making machine

1. Crushing & Drying – Materials with a moisture content higher than 25% and a size greater than 20mm need to be crushed first and then enter the dryer for drying;

2. Carbonization & Discharging – Preheat the carbonization main furnace, and then the dried materials are conveyed to the feeder by the conveyor belt and then enter the carbonization main furnace for carbonization; taking coconut shell as an example, after 18-20 minutes of carbonization, the materials can be discharged through the water-cooled slag discharger.

3. Combustible Gas Generation – After about 20 minutes of feeding, combustible gas is generated, first entering the cyclone dust removal system for cleaning, desulfurization and dust removal, and then entering the condenser to be separated into wood vinegar and tar, and the remaining gas is led to the outside of the main furnace by the induced draft fan and heats the main furnace.

4. Hot flue gas reuse – part of the waste hot flue gas can be used to heat the dryer, and the remaining flue gas is discharged through the dust removal system (water cleaning, water spraying, etc.).

How does the carbon making machine make carbon?

 

The process of making charcoal by a charcoal making machine mainly includes the steps of raw material pretreatment, feeding, heating and pyrolysis, gasification and flue gas treatment, cooling and charcoal discharge. Specifically:

‌Raw material pretreatment‌: Raw materials such as wood chips, bamboo chips, rice husks, etc. need to be crushed or screened to ensure uniform feeding into the furnace‌. If the raw material has a large amount of moisture, it also needs to be dried‌.

‌Feeding system‌: The raw material is fed into the furnace through a conveyor belt, spiral or direct feeding port. The feeding process of the continuous carbonization furnace is started after the equipment is preheated. The raw material enters the carbonization furnace through the feed port. As the main furnace rotates, the raw material moves from the feed port to the carbon outlet under the action of the guide vane‌.

‌Heating and pyrolysis‌: Hot air (usually hot air or steam generated by coal combustion) enters the furnace to heat the raw material. Under high temperature conditions, the organic matter in the raw material undergoes chemical reactions, such as dehydration and carbonization, and gradually forms semi-coke or coke‌.

‌Gasification and flue gas treatment‌: Part of the raw materials are decomposed into gases (mainly carbon dioxide and water vapor), generating a large amount of flue gas. These flue gases need to be treated by purification equipment, such as using dust collectors to remove particulate matter and harmful gases, and heat recovery may be performed to save energy‌.

‌Cooling and charring‌: After cooling in the furnace, the coke is discharged through the coke discharge port or a special charring system. The coke can be further broken into the required particle size after screening for different purposes‌. During the charring process, the coke is cooled by a cooling device to avoid re-ignition, and then discharged through a screw conveyor‌.

‌Automatic control and monitoring‌: The equipment is usually equipped with an automatic control system for parameters such as temperature and flow to ensure a stable and efficient production process‌
